The area that sets the Jaycees apart from other community service organizations is the Individual Development area.

Individual Development programs provide Jaycees with knowledge and experience they must have to become leaders in their communities. The programs include Leadership Development, Family Life/ Spiritual Development and Personal Skills.

Jaycees who participate in Individual Development programs, and programs in the other three areas, are providing leadership to their families and churches; on the job; and in communities, states, the national and the world.

Individual Development programs are designed to meet personal and professional needs of individual Jaycees. They develop public-speaking ability, strengthen spiritual commitment and enhance quality time with loved ones.
